MAI designation is awarded to appraisers that have completed 65% more appraisal education than that required for general appraiser
certification, taken a two day comprehensive examination, written an appraisal demonstrating expertise in all areas of real estate appraisal
and incurred 4 years of MAI level experience, which is 2 years beyond the experience required for General Appraisal Certification.  The MAI
designation is recognized worldwide and is synonymous with the best.  The MAI designation is required for many court proceedings and
large complex assignments.  

APPRAISAL INSTITUTE:
300 hours of appraisal classes relevant to the MAI designation were taken through the Appraisal Institute.  100 hours of continuing
education is required every 5 years to maintain MAI designation.
